Scarlet Halton

Scarlet was born in Buckinghamshire in the UK and trained for four years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. On leaving, she was invited back to the school to spend another year on their prestigious Junior Fellowship programme.

As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Scarlet has performed internationally at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Cadogan Hall, 3Olympia Theatre, O2 Forum Kentish Town, and Ronnie Scott’s. She made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall at 16 with Sir Karl Jenkins’ Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary.

As a performer, Scarlet has toured internationally, playing bass, keys, guitar, and singing backing vocals for artists such as Orla Gartland, Liang Lawrence, Áine Deane, and Jo Hill, with recent tours spanning North America and Europe. She also sang alto in the legendary vocal group The Swingles, and was recently a featured vocalist in a Marvel Snap trailer, which you can watch here.

Beyond the stage and studio, Scarlet is increasingly in demand for her work as an arranger and conductor. She’s collaborated with the BBC Concert Orchestra on two BBC Piano Room sessions—arranging and conducting music for both Myles Smith and Mabel—and created new orchestrations for artists like Belinda Carlisle, including a reimagining of Heaven is a Place on Earth. She was also invited to arrange three songs for the BBC Proms event Everybody Dance! The Sound of Disco in 2024.
